Last updated: 29 October 2026

CD Exposure ("we", "us", "our") is a South African business run by Conrad Joubert and Desiré. We design and build websites and online shops, and offer hosting and care plans, logo design, Meta ads and social media management (the "Services"). Our website is hosted on Shopify.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information when you visit our website, buy a package, or talk to us by WhatsApp, email or phone. We follow the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy applies to how we handle your personal information.

By using our website or Services, you confirm that you have read this Privacy Policy.

1. Personal information we collect

Depending on how you use our website and Services, we may collect:

- Contact details: your name, business name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, and billing address.
- Order and payment details: the packages and services you buy, transaction details and payment confirmation. Card payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Project information: the content you send us to build your website, ads or social media posts, such as text, logos, photos, product information, prices and opening hours.
- Account and access details: logins you choose to share with us so we can work on your website, domain, Shopify store, Google Business Profile, or Meta (Facebook and Instagram) accounts.
- Communications: messages you send us by WhatsApp, email, contact forms or phone.
- Device and usage information: your IP address, browser, device and how you use our website, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

2. Where we get it

- Directly from you, when you buy from us, fill in a form, or message us.
- Automatically, through our website and cookies.
- From service providers who help us run our business, such as Shopify and our payment provider.

3. How we use your personal information

We use your personal information to:

- Provide our Services: build and host your website, run your ads or social media, and process your payments.
- Communicate with you: answer questions, give updates on your project, send invoices for monthly plans, and provide support.
- Improve our website and Services.
- Send you marketing, such as tips or offers, but only where the law allows. You can opt out at any time by replying "stop" or using the unsubscribe link.
- Keep our website secure, prevent fraud, and meet our legal and tax obligations.

We only use the logins you share with us to do the work you asked for. We keep them private and stop using them when our work ends. We recommend you change your passwords after a project is finished.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it when needed, with:

- Shopify, which hosts our website and store and processes orders.
- Payment providers that process your payments.
- Platforms we use to deliver your Services, such as domain registrars, hosting providers, Google, and Meta (when we run ads for you).
- Professional advisers, such as accountants, when needed.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.

Some of these providers, including Shopify, may store or process information outside South Africa. When this happens, we rely on providers that protect personal information to a standard similar to POPIA.

9. Security and how long we keep it

We take reasonable steps to keep your personal information safe, but no system is completely secure. We keep your information only for as long as we need it to provide our Services, maintain our business relationship with you, and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.
